  1. What i think about the article is that it's true that kids sometimes write in shorthand in school. From my experience I wrote in shorthand before in school in some writing assignments but then after i would read over my paper i would see my mistakes which was that i would write something like 2nite when it was really supposed to write tonight. But then again a good time to use it is when you are taking notes. I also remember writing it in a listening exam from the state to take notes more faster.

  3. After reading the Digital Etiquette Language, I think that texting language is not a hindrance to students' learning. After reading that students who use texting language were "actually better readers and writers than kids who didn't use the abbreviations!" I learned that it's possible that texting symbols and spellings give kids a better appreciation for language sounds. That's a win win! You get to communicate with your friends and are benefiting your skills.

  4. I fell that its okay because it help for when the student is doing the state test(listening part). They can take notes faster so they'll get more note which will help them. But at the same time it's bad because if the are doing a project and their runing out of time. They might use short cuts which might get lots of points taken away.

  5. Why opinion about texting language is that it should only be used in texted messages and not in school work and assiments that are very important.

  7. After reading the article, “the Digital Etiquette Language”, I think that it is a good influence in children’s learning because if you can enjoy yourself texting and then again learning how to spell better then it is great. I also think that digital etiquette is a good thing because you can learn how to spell and maybe even type better. I think this is a great influence in children’s education because it affects them in their writing skills. To be honest I have never used texting language in an inappropriate setting. But I think this also goes with having self control because if you don’t have self control then there is no point in using text mode and you will end you writing in text code in an inappropriate setting.

  8. I think that texting laguage does not affect the way you write in school because students know how to difference between when they are on the internet and when they are writting an assigment.I also think that we think more about how we pronounce words and then we sound out words better.

  10. I agree with aliyah I think texting language is a lot more fun. I think it to long to get out what you want to say when you the word completely out. It is a waste a time to me.On the other hand , I think it is important for children and young adults to write in proper English. It is a important thing in life. After reading the article I think that it is good for instant messaging system to be allowed.I think that if the site is being used inappropriately it should be shutdown/eligible to be used. I think that it is a certain technique to texting language. Some people don't abbreviate things correctly. Which is similar to writeing in english. For example there are words that you say, make the same sound. Those words are spelled differently. I also disagree with people saying in texting language or talking on the computer, you don't know if the person is being humorous or serious. There are certain words we say that let the person know you are trying to be funny. There are also ways that you can get point across without

  12. I think digital etiquette is ok. If you want to write how ever you want you should. I lattine Clarke think personal etiquette is ok for adults and teachers. I know for a fact that teachers do it there self. i like to write with it any way. the reason i like to write like that is because im not in school and no body can correct me on it. that is the reason i write the way i do.but at the same time there are certian things you can say and write

  14. What I think about texting language is that it should only be used in text messages, or not at all. The reason that I say this is because, I feel that sometimes people are just being lazy and don’t want to spell every word out; or because they think that it is lame to write out every word. I personally think that it is better for people to just write out every word. I think this because if one person writes wateva, and another person writes w/e, if they are texting each other then they would not understand each other. I think that it does influence students learning when they are always writing in text, then they go to school and they talk and write in improper grammar.
I have never used texting format in an inappropriate setting. I have never done this, nor will I ever want to do this, because I don’t think that people should use improper grammar in professional settings.

  15. Something that ive learned from the article is that i have to stop putting capital letters when i talk on aim or text because now i know that im yelling at that person.. i will only write in cap letters when im really mad at someone and want to yell at them... Before i didnt know that writing in caps was so affensive to people and that it meant "SCREAMING".. But i really like texting and writing in caps sometimes because its wierd only writing in lowercase letters..

  16. what i think about slang texting is that it is not proper for school. For example, students might say in a essay ''2day'' but its today. And they will get pionts tooken off. it should usually be used in texting and thats it.
